The Studio · Occupational Therapy for Musicians

Keep playing.

Your music matters. So does the body making it.

Hands playing piano keys.

Occupational therapy for musicians whose bodies, energy, access needs, or circumstances are changing the way they make music. We’ll look closely at what happens between your body and your instrument—and explore practical, individualized ways to make playing more possible.

Ask About Musician OT

Individual musician support

Finding another way to play.

There is no single correct musical body. The work begins with you, your instrument, and what playing asks of you.

Pain & Fatigue

Explore pacing, rest, endurance, positioning, and changes that may reduce the physical cost of playing.

Positioning & Body Mechanics

Look at how your body meets your instrument without forcing yourself into one supposedly perfect position.

Disability & Access

Identify adaptations, environmental changes, equipment, and approaches that support meaningful participation.

Returning to Playing

Find a thoughtful path back after injury, illness, surgery, pregnancy, burnout, or time away.

OT for making music.

This is individualized occupational therapy focused on access, participation, function, comfort, and the relationship between your body, your environment, and your instrument.

Working alongside your music.

I won’t teach you how to play your instrument or replace your music teacher. We may collaborate with your teacher, medical team, or other providers when useful and with your agreement.
